BYD and Horizon RoboticsAnnounce Partnership onJourneyTM 5 Computing Solutionsfor Vehicles SOP in 2023

Horizon Robotics, a leading provider of computing solutions for ADAS and smart driving, has announced its latest collaboration with BYD Co, Ltd (“BYD”), China’s best-selling electric vehicle brand, to equip BYD vehicles with Horizon’s latest generation automotive-grade computing solution –
Journey™ 5.

With a target SOP of mid-2023, BYD is the first automaker to publicly announce the mass-production of Horizon’s Journey 5, with the intention to expand the deployment to more vehicle models in the future. Journey 5 is a high-performance and energy-efficient computing solution optimized for advanced assisted driving applications. It features high power efficiency and cost effectiveness, powered by Horizon’s proprietary accelerator BPU™. Other top automakers such as SAIC Motor, Great Wall Motors and Changan Automobile also expressed mass-production intent with Journey 5 when it was first unveiled in July 2021.
